Have been reading many articles and shorties about Ganesh lately because of the rampant way things shape up when you prepare for a special day of the year. Newspapers are flooded with articles, online media makes no hesitant in bringing the stories, yesteryear or today's journey. And definitely the reels with OG and the latest trends on everything related to the day. We are now in that phase of the year that brings lots of good memories and celebrations in the way- with Janmashtami, Independence Day and now being Ganesh Chaturthi. But if you study the poignant of the festival you will understand the significance of it. The day is not just limited to one section or region, but this is more of a community festival where anyone and everyone participates. Well all thanks to Bal Gangadhar Tilak who actually made the Ganesh celebration a public affair. Though the intentions were purely for the nationalism spree, it eventually gathered a stint of grandeur. The idea of representing the festival was pure and more related to urging for national and cultural safety.
One other piece of feature that I read really made me to sit and analysis, what a reality check it gives to us! When you closely observe Ganesh and the form it has attained, you can get many aspects. The big head on the top of the body, that certainly is a notification for glory and vastness. But at the same time, we have the tiny eyes that stay focused and grounded for a cause without being carried away. When you shift to those huge ears, they remind you are staying relevant and giving an instance for the others to be heard. With the trunk, it teaches the very essence of imperfection that can really go to pitch you for a perfect life. Ganesh is not a festival to be loud and vibrant, but a reminder how well we see this life and view for a good one.
Things have been very bad late, and certainly people feel to escape form the reality and enter a fantasy that will keep them away from the reality. However, there should be a matrix to bring you down to understand the importance of all and why a certain measurable portion is always allowed on a plain and not on others. Understanding that strong essence is the root to explore life and not being flattened at the floating verse.
